Making Precious Strides hosts various community events throughout the year to raise awareness of Hunter Syndrome. Most of the events are also fundraisers for our organization but primarily focus on educating the local community about this rare, life-threatening disease. The third annual Zach’s Run will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008 starting at 6th Street and the Boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. with the race beginning at 9:00 a.m. The 3.1-mile route is along the northern section of the Ocean City Boardwalk and continues through the Gardens section of town. Zach’s Run also features a 1-mile family fun walk. Registration fee is $20 before September 26 and $25 the day of the event. Food and beverages will be available for all participants.
